TENETS OF THE CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP

The following is a brief statement of fundamental truths contained in the scriptures (The Bible), which are believed and taught by the Christian Fellowship

We Believe

1.That there is one God, eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

2. That Jesus Christ was pre-existant and eternal, and in His incarnation was begotten by the Holy Spirit and was born of the virgin Mary, and that he is truly God and truly man.

3. That man was created in the image of God; that he sinned and thereby incurred physical and spiritual death; that human beings are sinners by nature and by practice.

4. That the Lord Jesus Christ lived a sinless life, and died for our sins, according to the scriptures, as our substitutionary sacrifice; that all who repent of their sins, surrender their lives to him, and receive him by faith are saved and justified on the ground of his shed blood.

5. That the Lord Jesus Christ rose triumphantly from the dead on the third day; that he ascended bodily into heaven; that he himself will come again.

6. In the resurrection of the just and the unjust; in the everlasting joy and happiness of the saved, and in the everlasting punishment of the lost.

7. In the Baptism of the Holy Spirit for believers; in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, for edification, exhortation and comfort of the church, which is the body of Christ.

8. In the ordinances of Water Baptism of believers by immersion, and in the Breaking of Bread (or The Lord’s Supper).

9. That the Holy Scriptures are the inspired and inerrant Word of God, and that they are the supreme and final authority in faith and life.
